What is BREEAM, LEED and WELL?
BREEAM, LEED and WELL are the three most widely used green bulding rating systems in the world. They provide a framework to assist building owners, architects and designers in choosing sustainable solutions that are long term and cost effective.
How do they work?
Using independent and licensed assessors, they evaluate energy efficiency and water use, health and well-being, pollution, transport, materials, waste, ecology and management processes, and give buildings a rating based on these scientific evaluations in categories based on the number of points achieved.
By creating these targets ahead of regulatory requirements, this encourages greater sustainability and innovation in the building industry.

Daikin's factories in Belgium and the Czech Republic, and its VRV, Sky Air, Daikin Altherma, Split and Chiller systems are all BES 6001 certified. This certification ensures socially, economically and environmentally responsible sourcing throughout the supply chain. BES 6001 is officially recognised by BREAAM, and incorporating BES 6001 certified products in your building significantly increases your BREEAM rating.
